SOME POINTERS ON COST OF SURROGATE MOTHER

There are couples who cannot have children and they would need to depend on surrogates to deliver their babies for them. The cost of surrogate mother becomes important in this context. This is an extremely sensitive situation we are talking about here. Intended parents would need to talk it out with the surrogates to decide on the cost/compensation that would be provided for their services, which would vary according to different circumstances.

There is a common notion that surrogacy agreements are usually expensive and this is true in general. However, bear in mind that this is quite a complex procedure we are talking about here, and would need medical screening, psychological evaluation, and more. Many a times, it would take more than one try before a couple can attain parenthood through surrogacy, and this factor would also need to be accounted for.

For the intended parents, the cost of surrogate mother would increase when the surrogate is doing it for the second or third time. Someone who has experience in surrogacy is generally offered more as compared to someone going through the process for the first time. A repeat surrogate mother would have cared for and delivered once and there is a greater chance of her doing it again successfully. She would be able to understand the surrogacy process and would be in a better position to help realize the dream of a couple of becoming parents to a child.

The cost of surrogate mother would include the non-accountable monthly expenses for meals, telephone charges, childcare services, vitamins/supplements, and other expenses incurred by the person in her effort to make sure that the delivery goes unhindered. Intended parents would have to reimburse her travel expenses while she is visiting her doctor for the different procedures and processes connected to the surrogacy.
The surrogate mother would need to be paid for her maternity clothing from the first trimester of pregnancy. In some instances, the intended parents would also have to pay her housekeeping allowances on a weekly basis, which would continue for a few weeks even after the delivery of the child.

A woman wanting to be a surrogate can get connected to a surrogacy agency of repute to receive some of the best compensation packages in the industry. The services would be compassionate and the process would be devoid of any kind of financial or legal hurdles. The cost of surrogate mother would include health and life insurance on top of the surrogacy related expenses.
